Reporting a mistake on this site

Include the page URL, what you expected and what you saw. If it involves a PDF, attach it if you can share it, or describe how it was produced. We reproduce every report and fix confirmed errors.

Bugs in pdfplumber itself

pdfplumber.dev is independent; we cannot fix the library. Search and report bugs in the official issue tracker, and ask usage questions in its discussions. The maintainers ask for a small PDF that reproduces the problem and the exact code you ran. Our error index and PDF Doctor often find the cause first.

Suggesting a guide

Tell us the task you were trying to do and where existing answers fell short. Many pages on this site started from questions people searched for and could not find answered well.
